  • How do I know if I need ESWT/LISWT/MyACT?
    You may consider ESWT/LISWT/MyACT treatment if you are experiencing musculoskeletal issues such as chronic pain, tendonitis, frozen shoulder, and plantar fasciitis, Sexual health issues such as, erectile dysfunction, chronic prostatitis, stress urinary incontinence, post-natal tear sensitivity or vulvodynia are also effectively treated with ESWT/LISWT/MYACT .   • What is ESWT/LISWT/LAST/MyACT?
    These are all non-surgical treatments under the category of "ESWT" that use acoustic waves to stimulate healing and improve blood flow, commonly used for various musculoskeletal issues and health conditions. ESWT stands for Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy, LISWT stands for Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, MyACT stands for Myofascial Acoustic Compression Therapy, and LAST stands for Large Area Shockwave Therapy. These therapies are generally considered safe and effective treatments. They work by creating micro traumas to the affected tissue, which stimulates neovascularization, and promotes healing through an increase in mast cells, and stems cells which flood the area and renew the tissues surrounding the treatment. After repeated trauma and repair cycles the overall effect is stronger less fibrotic healthier tissue. It is not recommended for people who have current blood clots, or cancer malignancy that could become in focus over the course of your ESWT treatment.
  • How long is the typical treatment?
    The duration of a typical treatment session can vary depending on the specific condition being treated and the type of therapy used. However, ESWT/LISWT/MyACT treatments usually last between 15 to 30 minutes per session, with multiple sessions scheduled over a few weeks for optimal results.

  • Are ESWT/LISWT/MyACT treatments painful?
    ESWT/LISWT/MyACT treatment is generally well-tolerated and non-invasive. Patients may experience mild discomfort or a tingling sensation during the procedure, but it is not typically described as painful. The intensity of the treatment can be adjusted to ensure patient comfort.
